DELIBERATE TRAFFIC CREATING STANDSTILL SITUATION

A few days back I happened to visit my aunt at Andheri. I went by Train but decided to return home to Mulund by BEST bus. What a pity. I left my aunts house at 5oclock in the evening. I thought I would take a bus home. No bus was coming which would leave for Mulund . Neither AC bus nor Ltd bus. Iwaited till 630pm then got into a rickshaw.I would have reached Powai . I would have never seen Powai lake this long in my life. The rickshaw was waiting in the traffic. Having waited for 45 minutes and no sign of rickshaw moving ahead I left the rickshaw paid Rs75/- and started walking towards KanjurMarg Station with the hope of getting a train to reach Mulund. Having walked for another 40 minutes I reached a spot ie a bend wherefrom if I board a bus I can reach Mulund because the road is wide and no work is in progress there.I saw the sad plight of car owners and realised my folly of thinking to purchase a car. I could leave the rick and seek alternate transport Can car owners do this?I then took an AC bus which was waiting in this traffic for long and reached Mulund in another 30minutes. What should have takenjust 30 minute drive took me 31/2 hours.

Seeing Mumbai's Road situation these days purchase of car idea can be postponed. People can still buy car only if they are in aposition to shed off their selfishness and go to work in  groups say 5people from the same building going the same route can share the car. Everyday alternate cars can be used so the wear and tear of a vehicle is also taken care of

I   wanted to by a car. This happenend to me because we were staying in a complex where almost  all are carowners. I decided  to buy a car taking an car advance from my office. I had to submit an application for car advance. I went to all dealers  showrooms like Maruti suzuki etc . what an experience it was like buying a car told all relatives and friends. Ultimately waited for the advance to get sanctioned which never took place. Thought of buying the car from self finance. The choices were difficult. 1... Diesel or Petrol Engine when settled on on. If accessories everything tallies then the price so it was like a crossword puzzle where the strings tied from all sides one of them was always pulling you up.
